Phoenix isn’t just something you wear, it’s a mindset. 

It’s a rise, a confidence, to be you. To feel good, to feel strong. To sit shoulders back, chin up and feel so proud. To know you got this. 

I created Phoenix out of frustration. I knew I was competitive and high level, but I could not afford thousands of dollars to look…. and feel… it. That’s the thing, when you are wearing something that fits so well and expresses who you are, its an unstoppable feeling. But again, those were thousands of dollars, that I certainly did not have. 

I went to work, I figured out how to make my own. There was a lot of tears and terrible test runs. For years, I perfected my craft with stonework and worked with great seamstresses. I studied endlessly how stones reflected together and under specific lighting. I mastered how to get a ton of “POW” in the sparkle with less stones, the powerhouse to high dollar apparel. But then how to pair them with trickly color pallets of fabrics and leathers. I  showed in my projects. Including trotting down the center at the world show numerous times, what a proud feeling.

Friends began to pester me to make them something, I was afraid I would disappoint. But then I was selling shirts of my back at the shows.I caved and started creating for others. The demand grew huge, the calling. I realized how much joy it brought me. Watching faces light up when they put on the creation. It filled my cup.The day came, when I was asked “What is your brand name?” Umm…..  But soon it hit me, Phoenix. To Rise. That mindset.

I guess you could say the rest is history, but I will certainly not forget any of it. I have been blessed with the best clients in the world and I can’t wait for more. I would love everyone to rise and be a Phoenix.
